I must say I was smitten by the style and charm of Harlem flyboy Skotch Davis when met at the studios of BET some years back. Since then, the multi-talented artist, poet, and model has been working hard on the release of his latest project and EP  debut entitled ” What Took You So Long”.

Born blessed into a musical family (and when I say musical I mean super talented.. shout out to producer Jayson Dyer of JDS, NBB Music Group, and sexy up&coming R&B crooner Spade) his dad is notable jazz musican Vincent Henry and his mother the lovely and well known hip-hop pioneer / AIDS Awareness activist Maria Davis( Known for her famous open mic events called Maria Davis Wednesday’s , and the female voice featured on Jay Z’s Reasonable Doubt LP for the single “22 twos”). So one can understand his need to be great.

Creating his own lane, the sounds of Skotch Davis are refreshing yet electic to a complex beauty called Hip Hop.   An architect of his own blueprint, Davis  has unconventionally created quite the following when it comes to fans of the Hip Hop underworld with his creative and non-traditional ways of marketing. If he’s not guest appearing on the tracks of other artists or hanging out at offices of  Lifted Research Group in NY( shout out to Woody and Chuck) you can catch him rockin the stage with his live band giving you something to nod to.
