No introduction need for the for this pop/ R&B icon. A child of Jackson royalty, this beauty captivated  many fans at the tender age of  7 when she began performing on her family variety titled Jackson Family. She would then go on to begin a career in acting , featured on hit sitcoms like Good Times and Different Stokes. At age 16, Ms. Jackson signed her first recording deal with A&M records but really created her mark with the hit album Control. Soaring to  great success, she begin  her music career with a countless number of hits. Like her brothers, Ms. Jackson’s innovative approach to music was featured in her image, choreography, music videos and sometimes socially conscious lyrics. Throughout her career she has manage to entertain, influence and inspire fans both young and old. Ms Jackson has been a  huge influence on the young R&B divas you see today.  Check out one of my favorite videos for the single Pleasure Principle off the 1986 album titled Control.    Looking at the video in retrospect now,  I really do see influence of her late brother Micheal Jackson in her emotions and dance moves. Sidebar: Thats the sexiest pair of Guess jeans I’ve ever seen on a women. Not to mention I made my mother buy me 2 pairs as soon as the video was released. Please enjoy todays throwback…..
