According to WWD, fashion’s global shopping event will be returning 2010. Today Mayor Michael Bloomberg, Vogue Magazine, and the Council of Fashion Designers of America, will officially announce it’s return  and  new date  Sept 9, 2010. Promised to be bigger and better, it is rumored top retailers have been meeting with the mayor and city officials to create strategies that will spark shopping and tourism, as well as proposing Sept 9th a sales tax free day. There are also talks to stage fashion shows for consumers at Lincoln Center(the new home for NY Fashion Week come Spring 2011 instead of Bryant Park) to promote merchandise in stores. Sounds it’ll another great night of shopping, music and free champagne. Now, I’ll drink and shop to that.
